I have had an idea for many years but just never got around to doing it.
I have wanted to cut the umbrella logo out onto the top of the Lid, replace below with perspex and fit red/white LED lights to the appropriate sections to create a light up umbrella logo lid that turns on when the system is turned on. I also wanted to add a speaker to the system that would play the save room music when the lid opens. I thought about using something similar to what they use in Birthday cards etc where you can record a message that plays when opened.
Ive had this idea for a long time but never got around to doing it fully. I did attempt the logo on a PSONE lid but found them a bit too delicate and small to work with properly. I ended up damaging the tabs that fit it to the system while filling the sections to neaten it off. There are many videos on-line where people have installed LED's to the system but im yet to see one easy enough for me to be able to work it into my master plan!
