Umbrella Corps - What are your first thoughts?

Hi everyone, I just wondered what peoples first thoughts of Umbrella Corps are?

I myself must admit, when I first heard about it I was sceptical. I was initially excited for ORC only to be extremely disappointed by it. Im hoping that Corps fairs better and to me it is looking promising so far.

While it isnt the sort of game I usually go for, and I usally complain that "the newer games arent survival horror anymore", i'm actually quite exited for it.

The Survival mode looks exciting and the online modes look fun competing on an infected battlefield. The mixture of stealth and combat looks much better than what Slant Six did. I really enjoyed playing alot of MGS4 online and to me, although very, very different, it seems to remind me of the fun I had playing that. I hope the stealth is implemented well when needed.

Im a bit disappointed it looks to be download only at the moment as I, like many collectors here, would like a physical copy. Im not holding my breath for it to be an amazing game, but it looks much better to me than I was expecting.

I hope they manage to recreate existing locations in a more true style this time. I was really disappointed with ORC (for many, many reasons) that they changed classic locations quite drastically and it just ruined it for me.

Those are my first thoughts, what do you guys think?

When RE ORC was announced i really hated it, i wanted RE Outbreak HD. Now i have the game because a gift and is a little fun to play online but the campaign sucks. I see Umbrella Corps and god, no, no no. Look the crap animations. I prefer die first than play that game.

Can't agree more than to say id prefer a Outbreak HD instead!

I'm trying to look at the positives of it. For me ORC is one of if not the worse in the series. I can't see it being as that. Despite the animation issues some of the game play to me does actually look fun.

Quite why "umbrella corps" are still around in the RE4 setting when Umbrella had been disbanded by then is beyond me though.

I think I'm trying to justify to myself to give it the benefit of the doubt. ORC for me was borderline unplayable!

Ha for me RE ORC is more fun than RE6, RE6 is the wrost for me.

Its probably a close call for me. I think ORC had a lot of potential that was missed. It was a very good opportunity to revisit sections of previous games and they could have done so much to tie up parts of the series, they just didnt even try.

6, to me at least, is a terrible game. Iv'e tried to like it but I just cant, so many things wrong with it. I still prefer it to ORC though!
